Dual Enrollment

If you are interested in pursuing dual enrollment options, below is a checklist of tasks to complete.  If you have questions, be sure to contact the Burton school counselor, Ms. Teresa “Gibby” Gibbons:  tgibbons@rcps.us  

ALL PAPERWORK AND PAYMENT IS DUE to BCAT: August 22, 2024  

If you HAVE NOT taken a dual enrollment class before,

Apply/Register with Virginia Western Community College:  

https://www.virginiawestern.edu/get-started/dual-enrollment/register/ 

 ****Currently, Placement tests are not required, we will look at grades and GPA for placement*****   

 

All BCAT Dual Enrollment Students MUST complete the following steps: 

Step 1. Complete BCAT Dual Data Sheet   

Step 2. Complete Under 18 & Special Circumstances Forms 

          **we need actual signatures on these forms** 

     Part a. Under 18 Parent Signature return to BCAT or email treeves@rcps.us  

     Part b. Special Circumstances (for 9th and 10th graders) return to BCAT or email treeves@rcps.us   

Step 3. Pay fees   

     Option 1: A check made out to BCAT for the exact amount   

     Option 2: Pay through https://roanokecounty.schoolcashonline.com/
