About the Program
Students in Early Childhood Education study the stages of child development, learn behavioral theories and examine the process of developing thoughtful and effective lesson plans. ECE students work hands-on in classrooms with young children to establish skills in the planning, care, and maintenance of safe and productive school environments. During their course work, ECE students begin to create a portfolio demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and experiences. Additionally, students expand their career skills by interning at local schools one to two days a week.
