
About the Program
Students explore and apply fundamentals of emergency medical services, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. This includes assessing the scene, understanding shock, resuscitation and trauma, supervised field experience outside of school hours. Field experience is required. This course is the first step toward students earning a National Registry EMT certification. Dual enrollment opportunities may be offered.
Grade Levels: 10-12 Student must be 16 years old by first day of class
